Terms of Service

1. Service description

Aqta Technologies Limited provides Seal, a cryptographic attestation gateway, including but not limited to:

• Checking of AI decisions before actions execute, with a signed record for each outcome
• Runtime policy enforcement, runaway agent detection, and budget controls
• Hash-chained audit trails and PDF exports mapped to EU AI Act Articles 9-15
• Receipts checkable by a third party offline, against Aqta's published Ed25519 key (ATTESTATION-v1)
• Cost tracking and optimisation
• Multi-provider AI routing (OpenAI-compatible)
• Research-tier deployment options (offline, edge, sovereign) available by separate agreement

2. User accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Being 18 years or older or having parental consent
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• Keeping your account credentials secure and not sharing them
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use
• Providing accurate and complete information

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Use the platform unlawfully or for illegal purposes
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Transmit harmful, offensive or illegal content
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation

4. Privacy and data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service, to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your information.

5. Commercial terms

Aqta is not sold self-serve. Access is granted under a written pilot or licence agreement, and the scope, fees, term and usage limits that apply to you are set out in that agreement. Where that agreement and these terms conflict, your agreement governs.

• Fees are non-refundable except as set out in your agreement, as required by law, or at our discretion
• Failure to pay may result in service suspension

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aqta shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us or third parties.

8. Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including the Seal cryptographic attestation protocol, is the proprietary technology of Aqta Technologies Limited. Aqta Technologies Limited retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service.

Your use of the Service does not grant you any ownership rights to our technology. All audit logs and attestation records generated for your account remain your data. Aqta claims no ownership over your AI request metadata or outputs.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland and the applicable laws of the European Union, including the EU AI Act, GDPR, and the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) where applicable. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
